I noticed something today while playing. Now mind you I have not been very active in the poker scene for many months so I am a little out of practice but still learn. I noticed that by playing like usual (tight agressive) when I would act mostly UTG I would have the respect of the table. If I tried to act from any other position I had no respect for what I was playing. There was only one guy, who apparently just wanted to give me all of his chippies :D who did not care what position I was in or what the board showed. So what I am wondering is when UTG does any one else notice differences in reactions than in other positions?

Under normal circumstances if a player is raising UTG, I'm folding unless I have a pp or AK AQ suited. Your not entering the pot from that position unless your strong, and its not a great place to bluff from, so generally speaking you will get more respect from other players ( except Barron maybe). You do get some loose players who will call with lesser hands so you need to pay attenion and watch to see how the hand plays out and see what the UTG player was playing with
