Am I mistaken or did you say last night, it makes no sense to pre-flop raise in omaha h/l?
if you have AA2K and there are 5 limpers and you're in late position? Wouldn't it make sense to raise?

Ah good point. Yeah if people are already in the pot then you're happy to charge them another bet if you've got a monster. And in fact in PLO8 it sometimes correct to raise purely positionally when you're in late position. The thing you don't wanna do is raise from up front with a hand like A234 because you want plenty of customers with a hand like that. And you'd like to find out cheaply if the flop is KQJ.
As to your AA37 hand, obv you'd be happier if the 7 was a non-3 wheel, but yeah that is a big hand. In PLO8 in particular any GOOD AA hand is more powerful than limit because it plays well HU and with the bigger bets you can often get HU with it. You raise less than the max here (not that it would make a diff, but...) whereas I'd just slam the slidey thing all the way to the right. If you just take it down there you've added 20% to your stack which is great given your stack/blinds. Either way I'm trying to get AIPF with that.
Incidentally with a A235 type hand I'd just call behind there and hope to hit the flop.

I knew there was a good reason why I preferred PL08 rather than limit, I actually dislike all limit games.
TY :)

PL is way more aggressive than limit. It melds better with some people's natural instincts.
Would think limit is the tougher game in long run

My feeling is that a small skill advantage in PLO8 translates into bigger profits. But there really is something to this idea that some people are psychologically better suited to some forms and structures than others. E.g., if you Tilt easily don't play razz and O8.
