The game is stud hi/lo. I'm slightly ahead and have a read on one player: nextelfan overplays hi only hands, and I mean WAY overplays them.
Looseish call by me on 3rd.
On 4th there is no doubt it will be bet back to me, trying to squeeze in the extra bet. Also it makes it 2 bets to lowball, who has the best chance now of making a low. If I can make him fold my chances to scoop this pot increase significantly. I cap the betting because there is no reason not to. No one is going to fold and my hand isn't really hidden to someone paying attention. The worst hand I could have here is 2 pair.
5th street, everything looks good for me, keep on building that pot.
6th, nextel might have backed in to a low hand. A pair of aces is very possible. So is a pair in the pocket, he has a history of that. 2 pair is his most likely hand.
7th I was so busy watching for a heart I didn't notice the set until the chips were shipped.
Incredibly frustrating that this would happen, and I instantly sat out and closed the game. I know that for me there is 0 chance i could play my best after a beat like that. On the other hand, there is a lot to be happy about here. I read the players right and got 25 big bets in to a pot with the best hand! Also while I was still drawing live to a low and they were not.
Now there is one other thing to do when you have a hand like this: save the player names. Not because you want revenge, but because you want the free money they are giving away! :D
