Ok I have an idea for a weekly league to be played once a week and not daily. The plan is to have it somewhere other than PS since we currently have 14 games/week there now. So I am thinking along the lines of Full Tilt.

Now when and how it is set up is solely up to you but I have been thinking along with other admin of having it on a Sat. or Sun. in the early afternoon. Please keep in mind that this will be running monthly so you will need to take into consideration the summer time when making your decisions.

I will put up some days and times along with another twist for you all to take into consideration.

I am all for playing at FullTilt on a Sunday Afternoon! Especially in a league. Leagues are always fun!

The 2 Cents Worth Word From The Bird.......While I am up for most anything, more info would be nice. Like what game or games will we play? My other reservation is Full Tilt itself. Maybe it's just me but the site itself is a complicated mess. ( yeah I know I am old and set in my ways ) I have never played a money game there. Only used it when PS went down awhile back. Still I am willing to cuss and discuss this further.

Some time ago we used to play a league at another place (some of you know what I am talking about) and it was actually quite fun. The only game to be played is HE and that is it. There is enough games to play during the week and this one would be completely separate from those. Myself personally I think FT is a fine site. People need to look outside the box and get used to new surroundings ;)

Re: Full Tilt. In terms of KMCWA's issue, the major sites have pretty much all converged to a similar look and feel. I don't really see any functional difference between Tilt and Stars.

In favor of Full Tilt: Much better structure for NLHE privates. Stars has that absurd blind jump from 200/400 to 400/800 for NLHE (in other games they have put in the 150/300 bridge but not in NLHE for some reason). Also, you can set-up DS tourns on Tilt which really allow for some poker rather than the shove/fold rubbish at Stars.

Against Full Tilt: Setting up privates requires e-mailing them and having them do it rather than the much easier and quicker deal at Stars. Sometimes Full Tilt screws up. Probably not a huge issue for a regularly-scheduled game since with 72+ hrs notice they seem ok.

The rakeback at Tilt is another small edge in their favor, but minimal for the stakes you're planning I guess.

I believe the site has been mentioned in the first post here FullTilt. Afternoon on a Sunday is nice. I also would like to have a place to mix it up a bit when you cant seem to run good on PS. I also love the DS's that Kat is talking about.

Concerning timing... Sunday afternoon would put it in the same slot as the MPF-Pokah and PPP radio games. Never been sure if that hurts or helps since I always multitable anyway, but playing 2 sites at once can be a pain.

Im on West Coast time and I dont mind playing at 9am here..Poker, coffee and Wheaties! I really dont want the game to interefere with other game schedules..Im a morning person anyways.

The problem I have with sundays is....This is when all sites have their big money tournaments and when they have the ofc games and someone mentioned( multi-tasking ) I also have to take my kids home every other sunday and cant play on those days if its on sunday.. So I voted for Saturday afternoons... also if its on sundays during all the big money games i know i would rather concentrate on the big money game...so i most likely wont even register for the league game....

Interesting points all. As usual I didn't think beyond the earlier time question. True the big money games on PS are on Sunday. Thanks Kat for the input about FT. It has been awhile since I looked at it. I will go check it out again. Yeah I get it Freak, some of us ( aka me ) need to broaden the horizon a bit. I do have 1 more question that may seem elementary to the rest of you. How easy is the $$ deposit process at FT? As you know I live in Tx and we have to sneak in the back door to deposit at PS. Go figger. The game is named for Tx and we ain't allowed to play here. ( theoretically )

i would have to vote for sunday seeing how the post office has demanded that i work every saturday for the next 7 or 8 years. i also like a team idea or maybe a hybrid where the first month is individual and the second month we pair the leader board top with bottom. say we have 10 players pair 1-10 2-9 3-8 4--7 5-6 to make the teams

A REAL DEAL

I think this is going to be alot of fun and we should start moving on it. Most are available on Sat it seems since Sundays has the big games on PS. I really like the echeck deposit at FT. Very friendly!
