why don't you put the "password page" link in the email messages you send out?

Then anyone (who's a member and receives email to games) can log into this site by a simple click of the link (when reading their email messages), fairly easy to do...I did it just to test it out and it works great!

So basically it would look like this :

Where: PokerStars

Date and Time: Mon Aug 10 21:30

Tourny#: 185651300

Buyin: $5.50 NLTH

Password: please see forum for password (http://holdemfreaks.com/holdem-freaks-buy-ins/1189-holdemfreaks-live-show-me.html#post6180)

:cheer2:

ps: took some getting used to but i love the new colors now (except for black and dark blue, those 2 not so good still) ;)

That is the way it is done now. It just shows the link to the actual post so there are not loads of questions as to where it is, it sends the person directly to the post

I meant in the email you send out...I don't have a link to that page... in my email message.

A REAL DEAL

Ty...I never saw this or I'd have said ty then!

Just stopped in here to suggest something.

I was thinking, since there has been so many spammers lately and they keep spamming and bumping every thread, why not make them their own special "retarted" thread?"

seriously tho...

This way, they'll spam in the (example...) "SPAM SECTION THREAD - place all your ads and spams in here" - (hopefully) and then you can easily ban them if that's what you want to do.... but at least members won't click on their stupid (possibly infected) links and it will keep the clutter to a minimum.

Just my 2 cents ... up to you in the end, but I think it's a good idea. :thumb:

There is only one problem with this. It all depends on spammers being able to read: LOL

Since the SCOOP is around the corner, I've been watching the satty's and had a bright idea for regular mtt's based on the satty format.

So I will shoot the idea and see what feedback we get here before I pass it along to PS.

Idea.........
With the sat formats, you pay an entry fee (based on the $5r to $109 PLO8), and your target is a seat worth $109.

Since many of us play the $4 and $5 plo8 regular mtt's we could change the payout schedule to a set target of say $150.00.

In the $5 reg mtt the number of entries gets to lets say 500 players

But we will use the $8.80 NHLE 500 cap as an example.............

In this mtt, it pays down to 54 players with a total prize pool of $4000.00, prize starts at $20 for 54th and $767 for first.....now if we were to change the structure to the target of $200 then that would mean that it pays to to 20th place and everyone is collecting a $200 cash prize for their efforts and the mtt would stop once the cash is awarded just like the satellite mtt's

Whatcha think, does this make sense? Would players actually play this type of mtt on a regular bases? Would this be like the double or nothing SNG's and be called 20th or nothing?

Please comment as much as youde like. I think this would be a hell of an idea...

There is a bunch of different kinds of shoot outs.

The MTT tourny i played a bunch of time is were every table is heads up.
It sounds long but the field redueces by 50% every round. Once u win u wait for all table to finish ( which since i been here the most i ever seen in once $5 tourny was about 50 ppl so it would go quick) u start the second round til the game goes to final table..

Well thought i would throw that out there. Cali if u do play one can u throw me a message so i dont miss it ( would sux to miss a tourny i suggested) .. Thanks for even taking the time to consider it..... Kev922

Sushi suggests the 5:30 game go back to being started later, maybe EG at 6:00 and LG at 7:00.

Its really hard for me because I cant play so early, 5:30pm is dinner time 6:00pm is doing dishes or still eating if we start at 5:45pm. I also know that this time may be easier for east coasters though. Im trying to find a compromise. :) Lets see what happens after a few weeks? What does everyone else think?

Ya I agree with Sushi, 6pm would even be better then the 5:30 start.

I suggest we stop anymore " honor system " games as i have been forgotten 3 times now when a honor system payment should have been sent to me.So whether they forgot or they just decided not to i think the thing just doesn't work here :tsk:

Peteyweestro, if i am one of the 3 you are referring to, i apologize. Yoda just text me asking me if i paid you and there was some confusion since I never told him i was in the last longer prop bet nor have i ever played any other prop bets here on this site. the reason i don't play in any prop bets are because of personal superstition. i join that mtt since a lot of hf were in it. now i know that i should not play any sng or mtt if one or more of you guys are in it since i guess i am require to participate in any and all prop bets. btw, if for example like last night people assume i won and started sending me one dollar, i would have sent it back and said i was not in it. I really don't need to earn 1 whole dollar that way. anyways, i will send you the dollar...no biggie.

The honor system thing has always been hit or miss. I think most people enter with good intentions but the fact that it's a buck or two makes it a very low priority. I too seem to forget unless I write myself a note and put it right in front of me.

I'd say that a friendly reminder the next time you see the people is in order. To some it's a very important matter and they pay promptly, to then get stiffed is not right. Again though, a "friendly reminder" is in order.

i didn't or should i say usually don't say anything because it is only a lousy dollar but when i saw that it had been done to me 3 times and because i believe in principles i finally said something. I know for me, when i commit to something i don't forget, because even though this is a virtual world we interact with, we are only as good as our word. Maybe i am old fashioned like that, so even were it 10 cents if i gave my word then you could count on it, nah mean
