With the conclussion of TOC, I thought I might throw out something I did in a live tournament. Heres my Idea of what we can do for an online version.

TEAMS---SIGN your team up!! JUST NEED TO SET A DATE
1. Team Yoda -- Players-- 1. voices 2. Jaeschke 3. ghoust-Shadow
2. Team Flopped Nuts- --PLAYERS--Rookiepsu 2. Lichee 3. Nutzo
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

We could have a TEAM tournament with 10 teams of 3 players each. Each Team member would play a total of 2 sng's each . Each team member would be at a different table.

At the conclussion of the first sng, points would be scored for all teams and posted. (see scoring below)

The second sng would have assigned seating, so that about 66% of all the players would be moved to different tables. ( using a seating chart)Means you dont play all the same players from first sng.

At the conclussion of the 2nd sng, all points would be added up. The top 2 teams in points would split the TEAM POT 70%- 30%.

Heres a points system we can use that is not overly top heavy. Really does make it a true team competition.

SCORING FOR EACH SNG
1st 30
2nd 27
3rd 24
4th 20
5th 17
6th 14
7th 10
8th 7
9th 5
10th 3

Each SNG would cost $5.50 to enter and the fee per person for the team would be $5. For the night, you would need a total of $16. Im thinking of making the sngs about 1 hour and half apart...Just long enough for the first ones to end or be close to ending.

Payouts using the Fee of $5 or $15 a team (using 10 teams)-- payouts 70%-30%-- 1st place team $105-- 2nd place $45
Payouts for each SNG will be the normal PS strcuture 50 30 20%.

Thats about it. This would take preperation to do and would all be done on one night. Would have to have all the money ahead of time with known teams. Id be glad to run this of we can get interest. I have the points system, seating charts and experience running it.

Let me know what you think or if you have suggestions to make it work better.

If these does work, Ill also run brakcets for this. Brackets was a huge hit in the home version.
the Brackets basically worked like this. those who purchased a $5 or $10 bracket would be match up versus another player in the tournament who entered the brackets. thus, all you need to do is place better in your sng and you move on to last bracket. Win that bracket and you win . Each bracket has 4 players, so a $5 bracket wins you $20 and a $10 bracker wins you $40.
For example...in first round, the players are

voices 2nd place
calli 1st place
CaLL moves on to second round
------------------
Booty... 7th
Raise Ha 9th
Booty moves to second round

2nd round
Calli 6th
Booty 5th
Booty would then win the Bracket...Congrats!! ,haha

Whats fun about brackets is that you can do badly and still make next round..makes it kinda dun.

Yoda, I am interested. I personally like the $5 buy-in. I also think the $5 buy-in would draw more people in. Sounds like great fun.

I am interested as long as I know more than a couple of days in advance. Only day real bad for me is Wednesday. Thats the night I suck at bowling.

I know more would be intersted in $5 which is fine by me. I would do $10 or $15 as well but don't think too many will.

From past experience you're going to get more participation the cheaper the buy-in & fee.
Most people don't mind paying a small fee as long as it goes into a prize fund like you have set up, but the fee is going to deter some people from playing.

Just a heads up. ;)

Kinda expected it, but you never know. Would have to set it up way in advance to make this work right.
Im thinking two $5 sngs and $5 to the team prize would be a total of $16 (1.oo rake from PS)needed for the night.
Basically you get to play 2 sng with 3 chances to win money.
