playing big cards on pokerstars

I've been playing on pokerstars for over 3 years and i get big cards like AK and AQ in late position and make a raise and they just never hit and all it does is cost me money with continuation bets. i was just wondering if anybody has success most of the time with those types of situations.

You should always raise with them in late position, if for nothing else, to take the blinds down. Now if your called and dont hit the flop, but the flop is pretty benign, make a continuation bet. If the flop comes with str8 or flush possibility, or a QJ or 10, check to see what your opponent does. If he bets out half or more of the pot, fold and cut your losses. If you hit one of your cards on the flop, your usually in very good shape and play accordingly. Early on when the blinds ar low you have to play more conservatively then when the blinds are higher.
